Satsang Storytime

Something you'll actually like having in your inbox (even if I do say so myself...)

Emails that leave you uplifted, energised, equipped and feeling that you're in good company.

Satsang means "in good company" or in the company of truth

Every so often I send an email with a simple aim: to leave you, dear reader, feeling one of these four things:

  • Uplifted
  • Energised
  • Equipped
  • That you're in good company

Who knows, maybe sometimes I'll manage to tick off all four for you!

So what can you expect to find in these emails?

  • Stories! I'm talking travel tales, synchronicities, highlights from my campaigning days, potential over-shares.
  • A good sprinkling of yogic philosophy with a side of pop culture references that are not quite current (I'm a good few decades and I'm quite happy there!)
  • Aaaaaaaand I probably won't be able to stop myself from the occasional rant about capitalism, imperialism, colonialism, the patriarchy, the establishment media... I believe activism needs to focus on building new systems rather than "filling the gaps" in the current system. So there's that!
  • Obviously from time to time I'll try to sell you something, because hey! 1) I'm running a business, and 2) I believe you may well want what I got!

So what do you reckon? You in?

Stick around, we may well make some magic together. And by "magic" I mean: have some fun; learn about ourselves and this existence we find ourselves experiencing; and make some positive changes in the world (did someone say "uprising"?)

A bit about Shae...

I believe that we are here to experience joy and to reduce suffering. And I feel deeply that increasing capacity for joy and relieving suffering is what we are supposed to do for ourselves AND for others.

That’s why I’m here sharing practices and wisdom with curious minds (you!) so that a deep sense of connection, presence and joy becomes the norm rather than the exception, even when things feel hard.

I combine all the yoga stuff I love with my experience in the not-for-profit industry to bring you tools and techniques so you can activate in service of the causes you care most about. I’m talking no-bull guidance and getting it done. This is a spiritual bypassing free zone!

Being arty and crafty and perform-y brings me so much happiness, so in the satsang you will also find conscious creativity. I invite you to know and be your true self through asana, pranayama, meditation, philosophical contemplation and make art just for the fun of it. And yes, I define art VERY broadly.

"The funniest person in our family is Mummy, not Daddy."

Wren, my (nearly) five year old son

"Has anyone ever told you that you are extremely iconoclastic?"

Ivan Boyer, my highschool english and history teacher
